Tiffany Comprés graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with her J.D. then obtained two advanced law degrees in international law and trade from the University of Paris – Sorbonne and from Sciences Po. She first worked with Proskauer Rose, LLP in New York City, and later launched her own firm focusing on fresh produce in international trade and PACA, where she represented growers in the US and abroad, as well as US importers. Ms. Comprés is currently Of Counsel with the renowned international trade law firm Shutts & Bowen LLP in Miami.
Comprés is uniquely qualified to help people and companies buy and sell goods across borders and resolve international disputes: she speaks four languages and has practiced in Italy, France, and the United States. Ms. Comprés has lived and breathed the fresh produce industry for over 20 years, working with her family at Customized Brokers (now Advance Customs Brokers) and J.R. Comprés & Asociados (growers and importers of fresh produce from the Dominican Republic). She knows the business from the inside and uses her knowledge and experience to address her clients’ particular needs in an industry where repeat business is key. Although her primary area of expertise is the fresh produce industry, she often takes cases in other sectors in which commercial international law is involved, such as oil & gas, among others.
