Webinars To Address Listeria In Produce Packinghouses

The Food Safety lab at Cornell University and the Strawn lab at Virginia Tech will host a two-part webinar series titled “Listeria Environmental Monitoring in Produce Facilities and Packing Houses.”

This series will demonstrate a Pathogen Environmental Monitoring training workshop developed for produce facilities and packinghouses and is complimentary for all participants (no pre-registration required).

The Center for Produce Safety sponsors research at both of the facilities. Two previous CPS Travel Grant Award recipients, Alexandra Belias and Genevieve Sullivan will present along with Dr. Laura Strawn, Virginia Tech and Gretchen Wall, Produce Safety Alliance.

The Travel Grant program is a competitive award provided to scientists beginning their careers and who work on CPS funded research projects.
