With a season stretching from May into September, South Carolina peaches enjoy one of the longer growing season of any crop.

But surprisingly, they’re not all the same peach — it takes dozens of varieties to get through a long summer.

We caught up with Spencer McLeod of McLeod Farms for a look at the ways research and development helps keeping out the varieties growers need to keep going strong in a report that also aired on our broadcast partner The RFD-TV Network.
