For the 5th consecutive year, the Georgia Grown ag marketing program got a chance to shine in the very center of the world culinary spotlight, in an all-Georgia event at the famed James Beard House in New York.
An all-star team of Georgia chefs under the direction of Georgia Grown Sr. Executive Chef Holly Chute brought the Peach State’s best to NYC for an evening of food and drink as sweet as Coca-Cola (which played a starring role as an aperitif and an intermezzo beverage… which means they passed it around before and in the middle of dinner).
Tickets for the evening were a whopping $180 — even so, the dinner was sold out months in advance, as per usual. Georgia chefs have made quite an impression on Manhattan over the last few years.
A few days before the main event in NYC, the Georgia Grown all-star team previewed the Beard House dinner at Atlanta’s nearly as-impressive White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails, on the heart of Peachtree Street.
We were lucky enough to be there and came away with this report for our broadcast partner The RFD-TV Network.
