In 1961, Paul Anderson — “The Strongest Man In The World” — opened a home in Vidalia, GA where troubled youth could come for support and nurture. Almost 60 years later, the Paul Anderson Youth Home continues that great work.
It wouldn’t be possible without support from organizations like the Southeast Produce Council, which not only provides financial contributions — it also likes to get down in the dirt and show the young residents of PAYH what it takes to get by in life.
The Goodness Garden at PAYH not only helps these young men feed themselves — it shows them that their fate is literally in their own hands.
Every spring, SEPC volunteers turn out to help plant the new garden. Here’s a photo gallery from this year’s planting last week. And be sure to look below for our RFD-TV report on the 2018 Goodness Garden!
