Olympic Gold Medal weightlifter Paul Anderson was known as the strongest man in the world, but he left behind a legacy that is stronger still.

The Paul Anderson Youth Home in Vidalia, GA gives troubled young men a second chance. The Southeast Produce Council helps connect them to the land.

SEPC is looking for volunteers for the annual Goodness Garden Planting Day at PAYH, scheduled for Friday, April 5 at 9:30 a.m. For more information contact Victoria Shuman at or 912-537-7327.

It’s a great chance for volunteers to help show the home’s residents where their food comes from — and the kind of work it takes to put it on the table.

We were there last year and got this report that also aired on our broadcast partner The RFD-TV Network.

And stay tuned — we recently spent a day at PAYH to tell the story of the remarkable man who founded it, and the incredible work it continues to this day. Watch for that soon right here in SPW and on RFD-TV.
