Southeast Produce Council CEO and President David Sherrod will join in the annual SuperTalkFM Radiothon and Auction benefiting Mississippi’s Palmer Home for Children Thursday (July 26) at 10:35 a.m. to talk about the council’s role in supporting the home.
Last year’s Radiothon was a record-breaker, netting $230,000 for the Palmer Home. Listeners can tune in on-the-air in Mississippi or on the internet elsewhere at www.supertalk.FM/listen/ to hear directly from children, alumni, staff, and supporters of Palmer Home.
Palmer Home provides superior residential care for children while introducing the love of God through faith-based service to each individual child, with campuses in Columbus and Hernando, MS serving some 110 kids.
“Regardless of their circumstance or family situation, every child needs someone to love them and be in their corner,” says Palmer Home President and CEO Drake Bassett. “Palmer Home provides educational and emotional support, great experiences with great people, a stable home environment, and the presence of a faith-based community. Everyone here is invested in the success of these children.”
That’s clearly one of SEPC’s mission’s as well, so it’s a match literally made in heaven.
Says Sherrod, “We have chosen to support this ministry, and if you feel compelled to give, we hope that you will get involved, too.”
