The Produce Marketing Association is promising some dramatic format changes for Fresh Summit 2018 in Orlando, Oct. 18-20. PMA got our attention straight off with an announcement that NFL legend Peyton Manning will be quarterbacking one of four “Forums for the Future” as part of the new lineup.
PMA promises Fresh Summit 2018 will “feel different. From the format to the show floor and everything in between, you’ll have opportunities to expand perspectives and build relationships.”
The Forums for the Future will feature “4 Big Voices, from inside and outside our industry” and will “tackle 4 Big Topics.”
These are not workshops, but they’re not keynote sessions either. They’re large sessions, designed to be inspiring and present engaging content.
Manning, the NFL’s only five-time Most Valuable Player and a 14-time Pro Bowl selection, is the first of the 4 Big Voices announced.
PMA says the others will come from “high profile professions, people who know how to inspire others, make good decisions under pressure, be pioneers, entrepreneurs.”
The takeaways will be lessons that are applicable to the produce industry.
Manning will share his experience inspiring and leading through adversity. The session moderator will help make the connection to challenges in the produce industry.
The show is still three months away, but registration is open now.
