USDA reported that peach shipments for 2017 were at an all-time low — no wonder since the South Carolina and Georgia crops were virtually wiped out by a hard freeze.

The good news is that a somewhat normal winter has this year’s Southeast peach crop set up for greatness.

The last four years have not been kind to Southern peach growers — so what do you do to keep your head on straight when it all goes bad?

We caught up with Chalmers Carr of Titan Farms in Ridge Springs, SC to ask that question — and to see how this year’s crop is shaping up early on — in an interview that originally appeared on RFD-TV.
