America’s population is becoming more ethnically diverse. And America’s love for ethnic food is growing along with it. Just like organic, a lack of ethnic produce variety is a big reason for shoppers to switch stores. Are you losing out?

According to Nielsen, Asian-Americans purchase 72 percent more fresh vegetables and 29 percent more fresh fruit than the average household. And let’s not forget the popularity of the Asian cuisine among the entire population.

Millennials, in particular, are known for liking flavorful and authentic ethnic cuisines. Providing inspiration to make some of the most popular Asian dishes at home will help boost produce and total store sales. Tie recipes, sampling, cooking classes and cross-merchandising displays together to bring unique food experiences to the produce department.
