SpartanNash Chief Financial Officer Chris Meyers is leaving his job July 14 after just over a year at the post.
Meyers joined the Michigan-based regional grocer in April 2016 after serving as CFO for Illinois-based KeHE Distributors, the second largest natural and organic wholesaler in North America.
Documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission say Meyers is leaving for personal reasons.
At SpartanNash, he directed finance, the treasurer’s department, internal audit and risk management. At KeHe, he put together two multi-million dollar acquisitions for the firm.
The SpartanNash board of directors is bringing Thomas Van Hall back for an encore to serve as interim CFO while a search is conducted to fill the position.
Van Hall, 61, previously served as SpartanNash’s vice president of finance from 2001 until July 2015, leading the integration for the merger of Spartan Stores and Nash Finch Company during the last two years.
